You have to load, unload and assemble the warehouse cabinets yourself and you have to level them for the slope of the floor. Construction Dadoed: Our garage cabinet sides are dadoed and the tops and bottoms are glued and nailed together with the sidewalls. The typical garage cabinet company will butt joint the sides to the tops and bottoms. If you look at a upper kitchen cabinet, you will only see dadoes rather than butt jointing because the dadoing is the stronger method. You do not want to load a butt jointed cabinet and suspend it. Euro Styling : Our cabinets are euro styled or faceless cabinets, The typical garage cabinet company employs a face frame with exposed hinges. Our hinges are concealed with the doors closed and there is no face frame to move your items around. The problem we found with face frame cabinets is that most items in a garage are heavier items and moving the items around a face frame presented a chore. Also if you were to hit the face frame from the inside trying to get something out, the 5/8" material would have a tendency to flex and loosen the staples that were holding the face frame to the upright walls, weakening the cabinet. With euro styling, we have no face frame to contend with and find it is easier to load and unload the cabinets. 32mm shelf holes: Our cabinet shelves are fully adjustable on 32mm shelf holes running the entire length of the cabinet. Most garage cabinet companies will screw shelf standards to the sidewalls and insert zinc clips to support the shelf. These shelf standards in themselves are very strong. The problem is that they are being screwed into 5/8" particle board and have a tendency of loosening up. With our 32mm shelf holes, the standard is actually part of the cabinet. No Toe kick: All of our cabinets are constructed to allow us the ability to suspend the cabinet off the floor, allowing easier cleaning underneath, a crisper look, and keep the spiders, crickets, scorpions, and mice from finding a home. A toe kick absorbs moisture, does not allow you to clean under your cabinets, and give the critters a place to live and hide. Full Backs: We use 1/8" mdf for the back of all our cabinets. The back prevents the cabinet from tweaking and solidifies the construction. The back is the same material as the sidewalls and shelves for a crisper look. Fully Adjustable Shelves: Our shelf material is 3/4" or 5/8" thick with 2 1/2" stiffeners attached to the rear in longer spans. The stiffener that is attached to the rear of the shelf (out of the way of loading and unloading) lessen deflection
